AirAsia launches flights between Bangkok and Nakhon Phanom in February 2012

According to Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, AirAsia is ready to open new direct flights within Thailand as we are aiming to increase connectivity between routes with great tourism and investment potential. The Bangkok-Nakhon Phanom route, which will start flying on 15 February 2012, will certainly play a huge role in increasing connectivity between Thailand and Laos, in addition to the Third Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge between Nakhon Phanom and Khammouane. The new flights will add transportation options which will stimulate trade and investment between the two countries.
Nakhon Phanom is a culturally diverse city, and attractive tourist destination with huge cultural influences from Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Famous attractions include Wat Phra That Phanom, a famous religious site., added the CEO.
